Proceeds from Carneros Festival to benefit conservation efforts

"Tickets are now on sale for the third annual Carneros Heritage Festival: Wines, Vines, Woolies and Wetlands. Festivities get under way on Saturday, May 31, from noon to 4 p.m. at he the Donum Estate, 24520 Ramal road in Sonoma.

Proceeds from the events will benefit the Carneros Land Stewardship Foundation, which is dedicated to the conservation and preservation of habitat in the San Pablo Bay wetlands adjacent to the Carneros region..."

The first such effort will be undertaken with the California Department of Fish & Game (DFG) and will focus on the Napa-Sonoma Marshes Wildlife Area, the state-owned and managed part of the marsh within the Carneros region.

(January 23, 2008):  The Carneros Land Stewardship Foundation announces its formation as a charitable foundation dedicated to funding small-scale resource management projects within the Carneros region.  
The new organization will focus initially on conservation and resource management projects.
